This deity of the Japanese Shinto faith—the sun goddess—did not suffer fools. Amaterasu got into a fight with her brother, Susanoo (the god of storms and the sea), when he threw a flayed horse into her weaving hall (as one does). Her reaction: holing up in a cave and bringing an age of darkness onto the world, much like Queen Elsa’s ice storm in Frozen.
